YARN Australia & Merring Studio
YARN Australia and Merring Studio co-hosted ‘Culture and Conversation’ events in Narrm (Melbourne) to engage the community with our shared vision to build connection and understanding between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and Non-Indigenous Australians.
Facilitated by Thunghutti Bundjalung man Warren Roberts, we co-hosted four community yarns that offered a unique opportunity to experience conversation, story telling, music, spoken-word and art.
Our events aimed to help facilitate connection and understanding by co-creating a safe space where our shared history could be explored. The focus of these yarns was building respectful relationships and practising deep listening.
